Spring

Summer
With Beech Mountain sitting so high up in the mountains, the summer isn't nearly as hot and humid as other places in North Carolina. It offers prime hiking, mountain biking, and canoeing in Buckeye Lake. The summer season is also the perfect time to relax and enjoy live outdoor concerts after a long day in the sun. You'll find many other family-friendly activities and events offered throughout the town this time of year.
Fall
Fall is by far most people's favorite time of the year to visit Beech Mountain. Take in the beautiful fall foliage during the day and cozy up in a sweater by the fire at night. It really doesn't get better than that for an autumn getaway! If you're ready to get outside and see what nature has to offer, you won't run out of things to do and winding trails to discover. But, hey, no judgment if you prefer taking in the views from your cabin with a great book in your lap.
Winter
Great skiing in the South doesn't happen in more than a few places and Beech Mountain is undoubtedly one of the best. Watch the Blue Ridge Mountains come alive in a different way as they're covered by fresh snow and skiers, snowboarders, and sledders from all over the Southeast flock to their slopes. You'll certainly enjoy visiting this quaint mountain town in the winter, whether you'll be taking it in from the ski runs or snuggled up in a cozy cabin.
